A guided retreat? Can you explain what you mean by guided?
Absolutely! Think about other things you’ve done with a guide . . . taken a tour, gone on a wild safari, visited a foreign country.
While our weekend might not be quite that exotic, we see it as an experience that’s about you and what God has for you in our time together.
Our team is here to guide conversation, activities, and opportunities for you to experience something that will be meaningful in the days, weeks, months, and even years after the retreat.
We’re so committed to this that we will provide guided opportunities for you to prepare and connect before you arrive and to continue reaping the weekend’s benefits after you go home.
How is this retreat different than previous Winsome retreats?
I (Kim) was hoping you’d ask that!
Winsome began in 2013 and was born of a desire to facilitate authenticity, diversity, and truth. For six years that’s what we did! It was beautiful, and hundreds of women connected and were challenged and inspired in their relationships with God and one another.
Then last year I began envisioning something different.
Be Still will . . .
be smaller (max 40 women) and more relaxed.
offer more time to connect.
have fewer speakers and more opportunity to hear from attendees through discussion groups.
have less swag . . . while surprises are fun, we’ve decided to go no frills. Why? Because getting you here is our priority. No frills means less overhead, more accessibility, and more focus on both our community and individual experience.
provide more rest, especially for those who attend the pre-retreat, along with extended times for quiet reflection.
What do you mean when you say this is a retreat where every woman is an integral part?
Exactly that! We see our weekend together as a little bit of the Body of Christ coming together to inspire, encourage, and support one another. So with that in mind, we’re planning on lots of time to connect and share and get to know you.

IN ESSENTIALS UNITY
IN NON-ESSENTIALS LIBERTY
IN ALL THINGS CHARITY
Our Statement of Faith (aka the essentials)
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
